Lindsay

I have a variety of experience covering the last twenty years working with people in the community with social, cultural and diverse ranges of social background issues. One of which was an organisation now known as Wirral Ways to Recovery where I was a Substance Misuse Worker. This included homelessness in the community and dealing with drug and alcohol addiction. Here I have identified individual needs, putting care plans in place and implementing them, being their voice when needed and most importantly giving empathic and motivational support.

More recently I have worked in primary and secondary NHS care setting therefore I have a versatile approach in dealing with patients ensuring they are given the best process delivery and outcomes.

Mental health and well-being has always been a passion of mine and coordinating the best care to support people to age well and stay independent, but mostly helping people to live empowering lives is what I strive to do. I pride myself of providing practical support, advice and guidance to the patient, helping create the best personalised-plans to reach goals of a rewarding life.

It’s never too late to improve the quality of your health, life and well-being.

Abbi

My name is Abbi, and I am the Care Co-ordinator for Brighter Birkenhead. Prior to my current role I spent 4 years as a support worker with adults who suffer from mental health issues and learning disabilities. Once I finished 4 years of support work, I then moved on to be a Receptionist/Secretary at a GP practice in Wallasey.

My ambition is to help and support others to achieve their goals and ensure they feel confident, happy, and content in the ways they are wanting to achieve them. My previous job roles have allowed me to learn and understand how to approach a situation in the correct manner, how to offer support when its needed, and that the right support is given to a patient.

I am looking forward to working with Brighter Birkenhead as a Care Co-ordinator, I am feeling very positive about providing advice to patients, and supporting them to live their best life.
