I’m Tomas, the PCN Operations Manager. I’ve worked in or with the NHS for 15 years. I have a passion for primary care development and a keen interest in using data to drive change.

My previous NHS role was in Primary Care Development for Betsi Cadwaldwr University Health Board. I supported the development of GP Clusters and used data to forecast needs, identify gaps and develop strategies.

I left the NHS in 2012 to join Cancer Research UK. My role, as a Primary Care Engagement Facilitator, allowed me to work closely with Primary Care on an Early Diagnosis of Cancer initiative. The work concentrated, again, on using data to help drive cancer action plans with GP practices. As the programme grew I led the on boarding programme of over 60 new facilitators, which resulted in every CCG in England having at least one facilitator supporting work around Early Diagnosis.

My first week with the PCN coincided with the start of the COVID vaccination programme. Now we are out of the other side of that, I’m excited to work with the PCN practices to identify ways in which we can deliver better services to our patient population through joined up working.
